Cameroon's personal data protection law is omnibus in nature, aligning itself with the canons laid down by the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and the OECD Guidelines on the Protection of Privacy and Transborder Flows of Personal Data. On the other hand, legislators have freed themselves from certain points by contextualizing this instrument. The book analyzes the legislative choices made on the following points: the principles of processing, the rights of data subjects, the obligations of actors, the control regime, the compliance tools, security, sanctions and the Protection Authority.
